Swid Powell partnered with the esteemed silver manufactuerer Reed & Barton to produce flatware and serving pieces. This salad serving set was designed by architect Michael Graves and exhibits a few attributes common to Postmodern architecture. The bowls and handles, for instance, are geometric shapes that are almost comical in scale. The handles are decorated with a flat, overall pattern that ironically evokes Victorian floral textiles and late nineteenth-century chased silver.
